Hair Colour Formula Card Generator

Create a compact, detailed or blank professional formula record, then preview exactly what your print, PDF, PNG or copied summary will contain.

Free and available without registration. Use initials or an internal reference when you do not need a full client name on the exported card.

JavaScript is required for live editing and export. The privacy guidance, methodology, examples, limitations and FAQ remain readable without it.

Privacy checklist for this export

Shareable PNG starts with client reference, product names, notes, costs and previous-formula details excluded. Opt in only after checking the preview.

PNG fit check: all visible content fits the selected deterministic image size.

A PDF stores one formula. TintLedger keeps the client’s complete formula history searchable and reusable.

The source handoff follows this exact privacy checklist. Excluded categories are not staged; included unsupported fields must stay visible for reconciliation.

Any account handoff must ask you to choose or create a client, review uncertain products and unsupported fields, and confirm a new formula. It cannot overwrite an existing formula or set authoritative lineage.

Formula-card values stay in this mounted browser component. They are not placed in the URL, cookies, IndexedDB, localStorage, analytics events or network requests. The explicit Prepare for client history action may stage one reviewed, short-lived sessionStorage source for later reconciliation; it does not save to an account.

Share the record, not more identity than you need

A formula card can be useful without a full legal name. Start with initials, a client reference or an internal code, then use the output-specific checklist to exclude identity, notes, product names, costs and previous-formula details.

Shareable PNG defaults

  • Client reference excluded
  • Product or component names excluded
  • Notes and costs excluded
  • Previous-formula details excluded

The preview changes before export, so every opt-in remains visible.

Static card and searchable history both have a place

A paper, PDF or image card is portable and easy to hand over. TintLedger’s account workflow is designed for a private, searchable sequence of client formulas that can be recalled and reused across visits.

Static card

One clear record for printing, reference or a chosen recipient.

Digital history

Multiple confirmed records attached to the client you deliberately select.

Formula-card methodology

One sanitized view model controls the visual card, accessible text, copied summary, semantic print document and Canvas PNG. Privacy-excluded fields never enter that render model.

  1. Record. Enter the stages, quantities, units and professional notes you want to preserve.
  2. Minimise. Choose a private print profile or privacy-first shareable PNG profile, then review every category.
  3. Preview. Check the exact visible result and its accessible text representation.
  4. Export. Use semantic browser print for multipage PDF or a deterministic Canvas PNG when the fit check passes.

Three useful starting points

Repeat-visit reference

Use Compact with an internal client reference, date, service, stages and only the short notes needed for recall.

Technical record

Use Detailed for complete notes, selected cost fields and a neutral quantity comparison with an earlier formula.

Reusable paper form

Use Blank to print a clean stage-and-notes template containing none of the values typed in another mode.

Limitations

  • This generator records user-entered information; it does not recommend chemistry, timing, processing or technical suitability.
  • It does not create a consent form, medical record, public client profile, permanent share URL or legal-compliance claim.
  • Previous components pair only on one unique normalized stage label, component label and unit. Uncertain identity stays separate for review.
  • Product costs are user-entered labels. Historical prices and product matches are not verified by this public tool.
  • PNG is single-image output. Long content must use multipage print / Save as PDF.

Formula card FAQ

Do I need a TintLedger account?

No. The card generator, blank template, preview, copy, print and supported PNG export work without registration.

Does the tool tell me how to process a formula?

No. It records processing notes you write, but it does not generate timings, chemistry advice, medical guidance or application recommendations.

What happens when a formula is too long for one PNG?

PNG export is blocked with a clear message. Use portrait PNG if it fits, or multipage print and your browser’s Save as PDF option. Substantive content is never silently cut off.

Will my public client reference become a client name?

No. A future account handoff must treat it as a reference, ask you to select or create a client, and require review before a new formula is saved.
